After a busy weekend in Germany, the Jimbag team have now returned home securing optimistic trade deals with global clients and attaining exciting new opportunities heading forward in 2018.
Last weekend the team flew over to Dusseldorf to join the Department for International Trade (DIT) on a Fashion Trade Mission to Germany to showcase our products to major German buyers, agents and press during Düsseldorf Market Week, one of the most important buying events in Europe’s fashion calendar. Over the course of the weekend, we created an array of new contacts with international clients and extended our relationship with international brands who were featuring alongside us at Fashion Trade Mission Trade Show.
We generated new business, successfully meeting four new key partners from a number of European countries - Germany, Austria, Italy and France. The trip was a huge learning curve for our brand, we left with a clearer understanding of how British brands can operate abroad and a better ‘know how’ of what trade shows to exhibit at – what nations certain trade shows attract and the countries that we need to target going forward.
Anthony Bingham, CEO of Jimbag, said:
'The Dusseldorf trip was a great eye opener, getting out of the office and out of your comfort zone and speaking to people in different industries gives you a huge amount of experience and knowledge about what you should be focusing on'.
There is no doubt that we will be returning to Germany regularly over the course of 2018, displaying interest in a variety of trade shows across Europe including Seek (Germany), Pitti (Florence), Revolver (Denmark) and The Health and Lifestyle Trade Fair (Romania). We are extremely excited about extending our relationship with European brands and after a successful weekend in Germany we will continue to pursue our mission in creating Jimbag into a global brand.
