Update: Jimbag in Japan

After Jimbag partnered up with Japanese sports and outdoor distributor Aifa earlier this summer, we are now spotting our bags featuring is some of the largest department stores in the country. This is all part of a three-year plan to expose Jimbag to the Far East market, and in the coming month's there are confirmations of Jimbag appearing in even more sites throughout Japan.




Jimbag stand can now be found in one of the largest department stores in the world – Seibu Japan. This mega-complex, visited by 70 million people a year was a great addition to the collection of stores that Jimbag are now featured in across the country. Below you can see a selection of the Jimbag products featuring in Seibu Ikebukuro. 






It has now been confirmed that in the coming weeks Jimbag will feature in not one but two Hankyu stores:

Hankyu Umeda: From 12th September 2018 Jimbag will have a pop-up shop in Hankyu Umeda, a department store that covers a total area of 84,000 square meters - one of Japan's largest department stores in its class. Established in 1929, the main store reopened in 2012 after an extensive seven-year rebuilding project - making this the hub for sophisticated fashions and lifestyle trends to feature. 

Hankyu Nishinomiya: From 19th September 2018 Jimbag will also feature in the Nishinomiya branch of the Hankyu chain of department stores. They will also host a British fair from 24th October 2018 where Jimbag has the pleasure of featuring our selection of bags to the Japanese audience. 





Tobu Department Store Utsunomiya is located in Utsunomiya city in Tochigi. You can find various high brands, cosmetic products, clothes, foods, local souvenirs in a large space of more than 990 m2. The department store regularly holds popular exhibitions of products from across the globe, and Jimbags will be available from the 27th September.  




The capital of Kumamoto Prefecture, Kumamoto (熊本) is a major city on Kyushu's west coast with a population of 650,000. The Tsuruya Department Store is one of the biggest shopping centers in Kumamoto and as of 12 December, Jimbag will feature amongst other renowned worldwide brands on sale.
